Where we work
The building code is provincial. Who reviews your plans, which health unit approves the food premises and what the local building stock is hiding are not. These pages set out what changes from city to city.
Service areas
Guelph and Kitchener are twenty minutes apart and answer to different reviewers. That is the sort of thing worth knowing before you sign a lease.
Kitchener has more second-generation food space than anywhere else in the region, which is usually an advantage and occasionally an expensive trap.
Plan review by Region of Waterloo Public Health
Building in KitchenerA lot of Waterloo food space sits in newer mixed-use and campus-adjacent buildings, which means cold shells and a landlord work letter that decides more of your budget than you expect.

Building in WaterlooCambridge carries a lot of older industrial and main-street building stock, which suits food retail and production well and brings change-of-use questions with it.

Building in CambridgeMississauga is where most of the region ghost kitchen, commissary and food production space sits, and it is priced as GTA rather than southwestern Ontario.
Plan review by Peel Public Health
Building in MississaugaToronto is the most expensive market we work in and the one where sequence matters most, because two separate reviews run in parallel and either can hold up an opening.
Plan review by Toronto Public Health
Building in TorontoNot on the list
These are the markets we work in most often, not the limit of where we go. If your project is somewhere else in Ontario, tell us the address and we will come back with the health unit, the municipality and what that combination usually means for the schedule.
Our Process
You always know which stage you are in, what is happening next and who to call about it.
We review the site, the lease, the zoning and the concept before anything is drawn. You get an honest read on whether it works — including the version where the answer is no.
Full architectural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical drawings, coordinated against the actual equipment package and built to satisfy plan review the first time.
One project manager owns the site — trades, schedule, deliveries and the inspection sequence — while you keep running your business.
Equipment commissioned, deficiencies closed, final inspections passed and occupancy in hand. We stay available after the doors open.

Free Consultation
The first consultation is free. You get a project review, a realistic timeline and a preliminary cost breakdown — including an honest answer if the project does not work as scoped.
